| Maurice A. Herbst, Jr. | Maurice Adair Herbst, Jr. was born November 25, 1893 in Pennsylvania. He served as a cook in the US Army Trans Corps in WWI, with the rank of Pvt. After the war, he married Grace R. Stacks and settled on Holly Street in Delanco, establishing the Herbst Meat Market and Abattoir on Third Street, next to his home.
